Edgar Degas once famously said that “art is not what you see, but what you make others see”.
We are very excited to announce the Grand Opening of the RVA Creative Wellness Center on November 2, 2018! It has been a dream of Jennifer’s and I, the Co-Founders, to open a place where ideas, concepts, and passions can be shared and explored. Our hope is to provide a unique environment, in our community, where you can find your own passions and pursue them with ease. All of the disciplines offered have been hand-selected to create a positive, fun and enjoyable experience. We want to encourage you to express yourself, in whatever way you would like!
If you are a skilled artist looking to try something new or someone who would like to try salsa dancing for the first time, we welcome all levels of experience. When it comes to making art or trying yoga, there are no right or wrong answers, it is all part of a process. We believe that people have a natural curiosity and drive to explore and create. We want to cultivate that natural instinct by inviting you into our beautiful location to explore and enhance your own artistic skills. By allowing yourself the space and the time for exploration, you will find any class you try is easy and fun. In addition, First Friday Art Openings and other events are sure to provide you and your family with lots of fun.
In regards to healing, we want to provide a comfortable and welcoming place where you can receive assistance from our licensed and compassionate counseling team. We offer individual, family, couples and group counseling. Our in-depth Seminar Series will dive into and take a deeper look at some key subjects that we feel the community would benefit from. For example, we are honored to welcome Clarence Singleton to our Seminar Series on October 19th, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. He is a retired United States Marine, a veteran of the Vietnam War, a Purple Heart Medal recipient and a Lt. FDNY (Ret) World Trade Center survivor. He will be talking his book, “The Heart of a Hero”, and about the effects of PTSD and how to positively overcome it.
Come embark on this journey with us!
